The device that should be the master has been disconnected after the engine starts.

  • Display and navigation assembly power source circuit
  • AVC-LAN circuit between display and navigation module display and component which has stored this code
  • Display and navigation module display

01-E1*

The amplifier device records that the amplifier output does not function even while the source device is operating.

HINT:

*: Even if no fault is present, this trouble code may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.

NOTICE:

  • Before starting troubleshooting, be sure to clear DTCs to clear codes stored due to the reasons described in the HINT above. Then, check for DTCs and troubleshoot according to the output DTCs.
  • The display and navigation module display is the master unit.
  • Be sure to clear and recheck DTCs after the inspection is completed to confirm that no DTCs are output.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Be sure to read the Description before performing the following procedures.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY

(a) Refer to the Display and Navigation Assembly Power Source Circuit NAVIGATION / MULTI INFO DISPLAY: NAVIGATION SYSTEM: WIRING DIAGRAM (2008 LX570) .

If the power source circuit is operating normally, proceed to the next step.

INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY



(a) Disconnect the F1, F23 and F24 receiver connectors.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Enter the diagnostic mode.

(b) Press the "LAN Mon" switch to change to "LAN Monitor" mode.

(c) Identify the component which has stored this code.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - COMPONENT WHICH HAS STORED THIS CODE)

HINT:

For details of the connectors, refer to Terminals of ECU NAVIGATION / MULTI INFO DISPLAY: NAVIGATION SYSTEM: TERMINALS OF ECU (2008 LX570) .

(a) Referring to the AVC-LAN wiring diagram, check the AVC-LAN circuit between the display and navigation module display and the component which has stored this code.

(1) Disconnect all connectors between the display and navigation module display and the component which has stored this code.

(2) Check for an open or short in the AVC-LAN circuit between the display and navigation module display and the component which has stored this code.

OK:

There is no open or short circuit.

5.

REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY

(a) Replace the display and navigation module display with a normal one NAVIGATION / MULTI INFO DISPLAY: DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System): REMOVAL (2008 LX570) and check if the same problem occurs again.

OK:

Same problem does not occur.
