REMOVAL
1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
7. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
8. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
9. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE
10. REMOVE FAN SHROUD
11. REMOVE OIL PRESSURE SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
12. REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET (w/o Oil Cooler)
13. DISCONNECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Oil Cooler)
14. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Oil Cooler)

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the oil cooler. |
15. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL COOLER BRACKET (w/ Oil Cooler)
16. REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET (w/ Oil Cooler)
17. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
18. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR KEY

(a) Remove the crankshaft timing gear key from the crankshaft. |
19. REMOVE FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL

(a) Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil seal. HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use. NOTICE:
Do not damage the surface of the oil seal press fit hole and crankshaft. |
