Troubleshooting


BUS CHECK (COMMUNICATION MALFUNCTION DTC)

HINT:
Only CAN communication system DTCs for each ECU can be displayed on the intelligent tester.

  1. G029877E01
    Select "Bus Check" from the "System Select" screen on the intelligent tester.

  2. G029878
    Select "Communication Malfunction DTC" from the "Bus Check" screen, and then select "Enter".

  3. G029879
    Select the system of the DTC to be checked and select "Details".

  4. G029880
    CAN communication system DTC(s) is/are displayed.


BUS CHECK (COMMUNICATION BUS CHECK)

HINT:
The ECUs and sensors that are properly connected to the CAN communication system can be displayed using the intelligent tester.

  1. G029878
    Select "Communication Bus Check" from the "Bus Check" screen.

  2. G029881
    The screen displays the ECUs and sensors that are properly connected to the CAN communication system.

    HINT:
    If ECUs or sensors that should be properly connected are not displayed, there is a communication stop in the system.

  3. G029882
    "There is no system connected to the communication bus" is displayed if there are no ECUs or sensors connected to the CAN bus.


CHECK FOR INSTALLED SYSTEMS (ECUS & SENSORS) THAT ADOPT CAN COMMUNICATION

  1. Systems (ECUs, sensors) that adopt CAN communication vary depending on the vehicle's optional settings. Check which systems (ECUs, sensors) are installed on the vehicle.

HINT:
  1. In the CAN communication system, CAN communication system DTCs can be displayed by the ECU using the intelligent tester.
  2. If CAN communication system DTCs are output, trouble cannot be determined only by the DTCs. Perform troubleshooting according to "HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING" (Click here).

    3. U0110-159, U0110-160, U0110-656, U0110-657 are not the DTCs for the CAN communication system. Therefore, refer to the troubleshooting procedures for the hybrid control system.
