Code No. C1783: ACC Distance Switch Fixed On
| caution | - When the ETACS-ECU of vehicles without KOS is replaced, the encrypted code of the ignition key needs to be registered to the ETACS-ECU. (If the encrypted code is not registered, the engine cannot be started. Register the encrypted code as described in GROUP 54A, Immobilizer System - How to Register Key ID
.) - When the ACC/FCM-ECU is replaced, calibrate the radar (refer to
).
|
OPERATION
The ACC/FCM-ECU receives the ACC distance switch signal from the ETACS-ECU via CAN communication.
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION
Check Conditions
- More than 2 seconds have passed since the ignition switch was turned to "ON" position.
- ACC/FCM-ECU power voltage is more than 9 V and is less than 18 V.
- ACC system is ON.
Judgement Criterion
- The ACC distance switch remains on for at least 1 minute.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Damaged harness wires and connectors
- Malfunction of the clock spring.
- Malfunction of cruise control switch (Integrated with ACC distance switch
- Malfunction of ETACS-ECU
- Malfunction of ACC/FCM-ECU
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Check the ETACS system data list.
STEP 2. Check the ACC distance switch.
STEP 3. Check of short to earth in DST+ line between ETACS-ECU connector and clock spring connector.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
STEP 4. Check of short to earth in DST+ line between clock spring connector and cruise control switch connector.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 5.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
STEP 5. Check the clock spring.
STEP 6. M.U.T.-IIISE data list.
