Fuel Injection Control Description

This model is equipped with a common rail type fuel injection system.
For the details of the system, refer to Fuel System Description:D16AA.
ECM controls fuel injection for optimum fuel combustion dividing the injection into 5 times in 1 combustion cycle providing each injection volume to fit the driving condition.
Divided each injection added to main-injection (3) functions as follows.
•Pilot-injection (1): Reduces combustion noise and PM
•Pre-injection (2): Reduces combustion noise and NOx
•After-injection (4): Reduces PM
•Post-injection (5): Activates DPF raising the temperature and reduces NOx
•Pre-injection (2): Reduces combustion noise and NOx
•After-injection (4): Reduces PM
•Post-injection (5): Activates DPF raising the temperature and reduces NOx
