Generator Removal and Installation

Removal
1)Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
2)Remove right front fender lining.
5)Disconnect “B” terminal wire (1) and connector (2) from generator (3).
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.
•Before adjusting belt tension, tighten pivot bolt to 30 N·m (3.1 kgf-m, 22.5 lbf-ft) and check that bush (1) in generator bracket is in contact with generator (2), and then loosen the bolt.
•Tighten generator bolt and pivot bolt to specified torque.
Pivot bolt (b): 48 N·m (4.9 kgf-m, 35.5 lbf-ft)
•Connect wire (1) to generator as shown in figure, and tighten “B” terminal nut to specified torque.
•Tighten generator bolt and pivot bolt to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Generator bolt (a): 25 N·m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.5 lbf-ft)Pivot bolt (b): 48 N·m (4.9 kgf-m, 35.5 lbf-ft)
