Oil Pump Assembly Disassembly and Reassembly

NOTICE:

The oil pump body will lose its original performance if it is disassembled.

Do not disassemble the oil pump body.

Disassembly

1)Remove oil strainer (1) from oil pump body.

2)Remove O-ring (1).

3)Remove oil pump thrust washer (1).

4)Remove oil seal rings (1).

5)Using flat-bladed screwdriver (1) or the like, remove oil seal (2).

Reassembly

Reference: Oil Pump Assembly Inspection

Reverse disassembly procedure noting the following points.

•Apply grease to new oil seal lip portion, and then install new oil seal (1) to oil pump body (2).

Special Tool

(A): 09913–85210

“A”: Grease 99000–25030 (SUZUKI Super Grease C)

•Use new seal rings and O-ring. Apply ATF before installation.
•Tighten seal ring to 5 mm (0.2 in.), and then install seal rings.
•Install oil strainer bolts (1) to specified torque.

Tightening torque

Oil strainer bolt (a): 5.4 N·m (0.55 kgf-m, 4.0 lbf-ft)
