Cowl Side Outer Member Removal and Installation

NOTE:

The figure below shows condition where the following parts are removed.

•Front fender

•Hood lock member and lamp support brace

•Front fender lower bracket, front fender bracket and front fender rear bracket

•Fuel filler door panel

General Notes

Welding method and number of welding points are the same on both sides. This repair instruction shows procedure for left side.

Removal

1)Unscrew 2 bolts.

2)Drill out welding spots and remove cowl side outer member.

:	This symbol indicates that cowl side outer member and dash side front panel are replaced at the same time.

Installation

NOTE:

•Before conducting any weld, check installation position and condition for installation part(s).

•Perform repair while taking into consideration installation of parts that affect appearance.

1)Install cowl side outer member, tighten 2 bolts temporarily and adjust position relative to adjoining parts.

2)Conduct resistance spot weld and plug weld.

3)Tighten 2 bolts to specified torque.

1:	This symbol indicates that cowl side outer member and dash side front panel are replaced at the same time.
2:	This symbol indicates that the weld is conducted when front fender bracket is installed.
:	23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 17.0 lbf-ft)
