Apron Side Member (Partial) Removal and Installation

NOTE:

The figure below shows condition where the following parts are removed.

•Front fender

•Hood lock member and lamp support brace

General Notes

Welding method and number of welding points are the same on both sides. This repair instruction shows procedure for left side.

Removal

1)Drill out welding spots and remove front bumper member plate.

2)Drill out welding spots and remove apron side member extension.

Installation

NOTE:

•Before conducting any weld, check installation position and condition for installation part(s).

—Front body:

—Underbody:

•Perform repair while taking into consideration installation of parts that affect appearance.

1)Install apron side No.1 extension and apron side No.2 extension, apron side front No.1 reinforcement, apron side front No.2 reinforcement.

2)Conduct spot weld and plug weld.

[B]:

Vehicle outside

3)Install radiator support member bracket and radiator support member plate.

4)Conduct resistance spot weld.

5)Install front bumper member plate.

6)Conduct resistance spot weld or plug weld.
