DTC check
1)Set ignition “OFF” and leave ignition “OFF” for 5 seconds or more.
2)Set ignition “ON”.
3)Recheck DTC.
Is current DTC P1642 detected?

Check for intermittent trouble.

1)Check DTC related to CAN communication.
Is there any CAN-DTC(s) detected?

Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC.

CAN communication circuit check
1)Check CAN communication circuit referring to “Troubleshooting for Communication Bus Off” in Section 10H.

Replace ECM and recheck DTC. If DTC P1642 is still detected, replace keyless start control module and recheck DTC.
