DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

DTC detecting condition	Trouble area
P1355: ENG A-STOP DC-DC Converter “B” Over Temperature Short Time DC/DC converter overheat signal is received.	•DC/DC converter •ENG A-STOP control module
P1356: ENG A-STOP DC-DC Converter “B” Over Temperature DC/DC converter overheat signal is received for more than specified time.
P1357: ENG A-STOP DC-DC Converter “B” Internal Electronic Failure While cranking, invalid DC/DC converter input signal is received.

DTC Confirmation Procedure

P1355 / P1356

NOTE:

Check that the following condition is met in this “DTC Confirmation Procedure”.

•Battery voltage > 11 V

1)Set ignition “ON”.

WARNING:

If you do not select a suitable route and take proper precautions when performing a road test, an accident can occur.

•Select a level road with no traffic to minimize the risk of accident.
•Perform the test extremely carefully.
•Perform the road test with 2 persons, a driver and a tester.

1)Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.

2)Drive vehicle at more than 10 km/h (6 mile/h).

3)Stop vehicle.

4)Perform engine auto start control.

DTC Troubleshooting

1	DTC check 1)Clear DTC. 2)Set ignition “OFF”. 3)Perform DTC Confirmation Procedure, and recheck for DTC. Is DTC P1355, P1356 or P1357 still detected?	Go to Step 2.	Check for intermittent trouble.
2	DTC recheck 1)Replace DC/DC converter. 2)Perform DTC Confirmation Procedure, and recheck for DTC. Is DTC P1355, P1356 or P1357 still detected?	Replace ENG A-STOP control module and recheck DTC.	End.
