Steering Hanger Beam Replacement
NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.| 1. | Remove the dashboard. |
| 2. | Remove the these items from the dashboard:

| 3. | Detach the hooks by pulling both blind covers (A) back, release the hooks (B), then remove the covers. Fastener Locations: Hook, 2BAB |
| 4. | On both side, detach the clips and release the hooks (A), then remove the tweeters (B) or tweeter grille. Disconnect the tweeter connectors (C). Fastener Locations: Clip, 4ABC |
| 5. | From the front of the dashboard, detach the harness clips (A, B) BA |
| 6. | From the back of the dashbord, Detach the harness clips (A) from both sides. LHD is shown, RHD is symmetrical. Driver's side:  APassenger's side:  CCAB |
| 7. | On passenger's side, disconnect the glove box light bulb socket (B), and detach the connectors (C). |
| 8. | Remove the screws (A, B) securing the dashboard (C) and steering hanger beam (D), and detach the clips (E), then separate the dashboard and steering hanger beam. Fastener Locations: Screw, 5A: Bolt B: Clip, 2EAEAEAABAC5 x 0.8 mm5 N·m (0.5 kgf·m, 4 lbf·ft)BCDFBBBBBB (LHD)LHD, 8 RHD, 7 |
| 9. | Install the beam in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
