REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

2. DISCONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the rear disc brake cylinder.

NOTICE:

  • Do not disconnect the flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder.
  • Do not twist or bend the flexible hose.

(b) Hang the disc brake cylinder with a piece of wire.

3. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE (REAR): REAR BRAKE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

4. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN SPRING PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY (2008 LX570)+

5. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY (2008 LX570)+

6. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY (2008 LX570)+

7. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY (2008 LX570)+

8. DISCONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY (2008 LX570)+

9. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL UNIT PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY SUSPENSION CONTROL: DAMPING FORCE CONTROL ACTUATOR (for Front Side): REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

10. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION CONTROL ACCUMULATOR BRACKET SUSPENSION CONTROL: DAMPING FORCE CONTROL ACTUATOR (for Rear Side): REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

11. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (w/ Cool Box) EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

12. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (w/ Cool Box) EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

13. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL (w/ Cool Box) EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: RADIATOR GRILLE: REMOVAL (2008 LX570)+

14. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (w/ Cool Box) HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: REFRIGERANT: REPLACEMENT (2008 LX570)+

15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Cool Box)

(a) Remove the front seat assembly LH SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL (2008 LX570) .

16. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Cool Box)

(a) Remove the rear console box sub-assembly INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: FRONT CONSOLE BOX (w/o Cool Box): REMOVAL (2008 LX570) .

17. REMOVE COOLING BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Cool Box)

(a) Remove the cooling box assembly INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: FRONT CONSOLE BOX (w/ Cool Box): REMOVAL (2008 LX570) .

18. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Loosen the adjusting nut.

(b) Disconnect the No. 2 parking brake cable from the No. 1 parking brake pull rod.

(c) Pinch the claws of the No. 2 parking brake cable and push the cable outside of the vehicle slightly.

(d) Tilt the fuel tank 3UR-FE FUEL: FUEL TANK: REMOVAL (2008 LX570) so that bolt A in the illustration can be removed.

(e) Remove the 6 bolts and No. 2 parking brake cable.



(f) Remove the No. 2 parking brake cable clamp from the No. 2 parking brake cable.

19. REMOVE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Loosen the adjusting nut.

(b) Disconnect the No. 3 parking brake cable from the No. 1 parking brake pull rod.

(c) Pinch the claws of the No. 3 parking brake cable and push the cable outside of the vehicle slightly.

(d) Remove the 6 bolts and No. 3 parking brake cable.



(e) Remove the No. 3 parking brake cable clamp from the No. 3 parking brake cable.
