DISASSEMBLY
1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
-
w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
-
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
.
3. REMOVE BACK DOOR GRIP
|
(a) Remove the 2 screws and back door grip.
|
4. REMOVE LOWER BACK DOOR STOPPER CUSHION
|
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and 2 lower back door stopper cushions.
|
5. REMOVE CENTER BACK DOOR GARNISH
|
(a) Detach the 5 clips and 2 claws, remove the back door garnish.
|
6. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH
|
(a) Detach the 3 clips and remove the back door side garnish.
|
8. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH
(a) w/o Power Back Door:
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
(b) w/ Power Back Door:
|
(1) Detach the 3 clips and remove the back door side garnish.
|
9. REMOVE BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER RH (w/ Power Back Door)
|
(a) Detach the 2 clips and move the service hole cover so that the rod and back door stay plate can be removed.
|
|
(b) Remove the ball joint bolt, power back door rod and back door stay plate.
|
(c) Remove the service hole cover from the power back door rod.
10. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH
|
(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 14 clips and remove the back door garnish.
|
11. REMOVE REAR HEADER SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers)
12. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Power Back Door)
|
(a) Disconnect the connector.
|
|
(b) Using a T25 "TORX" wrench, remove the 6 screws.
|
(c) Detach the 2 clips and remove the power back door sensor assembly LH.
13. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Power Back Door)
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
14. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM
|
(a) Open the cover.
|
(b) Remove the nut and rear wiper arm.
15. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET
|
(a) Remove the wiper motor grommet.
|
16. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Disconnect the connector.
|
(b) Remove the 3 bolts and rear wiper motor assembly.
17. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK COVER
|
(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the back door lock cover.
|
18. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) w/o Power Back Door:
|
(1) Disconnect the connector.
|
(2) Remove the 3 bolts and back door lock.
(b) w/ Power Back Door:
|
(1) Disconnect the connector.
|
(2) Remove the 4 bolts and back door lock.
19. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK PROTECTOR (w/ Power Back Door)
20. REMOVE SWITCH BEZEL (w/ Power Back Door)
|
(a) Disconnect the connector.
|
(b) Detach the 4 claws and remove the switch bezel.
21. REMOVE BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH (w/ Power Back Door)
|
(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the door control switch.
|
22. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY
23. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
24. REMOVE BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
|
(b) Disconnect the connector and then remove the back door opener switch.
25. REMOVE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY
26. REMOVE LIFT GATE WEATHERSTRIP
|
(a) Detach the 25 clips and remove the lift gate weatherstrip.
NOTICE:
Do not pull strongly on the weatherstrip as it may be damage.
|
27. REMOVE LOWER BACK DOOR STOPPER
|
(a) Remove the bolt and lower back door stopper.
|
28. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE
29. REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS CHANNEL LH (w/o Power Back Door)
30. REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS CHANNEL RH (w/o Power Back Door)
31. REMOVE REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY
32. REMOVE REAR WASHER NOZZLE

(a) Disconnect the hose.
|
|
(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the washer nozzle.
|
33. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY ASSEMBLY LH
34. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
