Inspection Procedure 4: When the CANCEL Switch is Pressed, Adaptive Cruise Control is not Cancelled.
 
 
cautionWhen the ACC/FCM-ECU is replaced, calibrate the radar (refer to ).
 
 
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
The cause is probably an open-circuit in the circuit inside the CANCEL switch.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSE
  • Malfunction of the cruise control switch (integrated with CANCEL switch)
  • Malfunction of the engine-ECU.
  • Malfunction of the ACC/FCM-ECU.
 
 
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Check the DI and MPI system data list.
Using M.U.T.-IIISE, check the DI and MPI system data list (Refer to GROUP 13A - Troubleshooting, Data List Reference Table ).
  • Item No.75: CANCEL switch
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Check the cruise control switch (integrated with CANCEL switch).
Refer to .
Is the check result normal?
Replace the engine-ECU (Refer to GROUP 13A - Engine-ECU ).
Replace the cruise control switch (integrated with CANCEL switch) (Refer to ).
 
STEP 3. M.U.T.-IIISE data list.
Check the following data list (Refer to ).
  • Item No.22: ACC switch state
Is the check result normal?
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Replace the ACC/FCM-ECU (Refer to ).
