Cooling system check
1)Check coolant level and engine cooling system.
•Coolant level:
 •Cooling system: Is check result OK?

Go to Step 3.

Repair or replace defective part(s).

Cooling fan operation check
1)When ignition is “OFF”, connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC.
2)Set ignition “ON”.
3)Check radiator cooling fan and radiator cooling sub fan for operation by using “Radiator Fan” function in “Active Test” mode on SUZUKI scan tool.
Is check result OK?

Go to Step 4.

Check cooling fan motor or its circuit.

Thermostat replacement
1)Replace thermostat.
2)Clear DTC.
3)Recheck DTC.
Is DTC P0116 still detected?

Replace ECM and recheck DTC.
