Oil Pressure Check

Precautions: General safety (00)

NOTE:
Before checking oil pressure, check the following points.
•Oil level in oil pan
If oil level is low, add oil up to FULL level mark (hole) (1) on oil level gauge. icon

2. LOW level mark (hole)
•Oil quality
If oil is discolored or deteriorated, change it. icon 
•Oil leakage
If leakage is found, repair leaky point.
1)For M/T model, place gear shift lever in “Neutral” and apply parking brake.
For A/T model, place select lever in “P” and apply parking brake.
2)Remove oil pressure switch. icon 
3)Install special tools to threaded hole where oil pressure switch was removed.
Special Tool
(A): 09915–77311
(B): 09915–78211

4)Connect HO2S-1 connector. icon 
5)Install air cleaner assembly. icon 
6)Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
7)Measure oil pressure at 2,000 rpm and 4,000 rpm respectively.
Oil pressure specification
110 – 190 kPa (1.1 – 1.9 kgf/cm2, 16.0 – 27.6 psi) at 2,000 rpm
310 – 390 kPa (3.2 – 4.0 kgf/cm2, 45.0 – 56.6 psi) at 4,000 rpm
8)Stop engine.
9)Remove air cleaner assembly. icon 
10)Disconnect HO2S-1 connector. icon 
11)Remove special tools.
12)Install oil pressure switch. icon 
13)Connect HO2S-1 connector. icon 
14)Install air cleaner assembly. icon 
15)Start engine and check oil pressure switch for oil leakage. If oil leakage is found, repair incorrect installation of oil pressure switch.
16)Remove air cleaner assembly. icon 
17)Install oil pressure switch cover. icon 
18)Install exhaust manifold cover. icon 
19)Check DTC. icon 
If any DTC is displayed, clear DTC. icon
