Odd Gear Clutch Assembly
Check odd gear clutch assembly as follows.
1)Check diaphragm spring (1) for abnormal wear or damage.
2)Check intermediate flywheel (2) for wear or heat spots.
3)Replace odd gear clutch assembly if defective.
Even Gear Clutch Assembly
Clutch disc
Using vernier caliper (2), measure thickness of clutch disc (1).
If thickness is found to have reached service limit, replace clutch disc.
Clutch disc thickness
Standard: Approx. 6.00 mm (0.24 in.)
Limit (reference value): 4.50 mm (0.18 in.)
Pressure plate
Check even gear clutch assembly as follows.
1)Check diaphragm spring (1) for abnormal wear or damage.
2)Check pressure plate (2) for wear or heat spots.
3)Replace even clutch assembly if defective.
