Passenger air bag deactivation switch circuit has been shorted to power supply or opened.

Was “Air Bag Diagnostic System Check” performed?
Go to Step 2.

Passenger air bag deactivation switch circuit check
1)Check that ignition is “OFF”.
2)Check for proper connection “L05” and “G168” connector.
3)Disconnect “L05” connector. icon 
4)Disconnect “G168” connector. icon 
5)Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool (B).
6)Check the following points.
•Resistance between “L05-32” and “G168-1” terminals: 1 Ω or less
•Resistance between “L05-31” and “G168-2” terminals: 1 Ω or less

Is check result OK?
Go to Step 4.
Go to Step 3.

Floor harness circuit check
1)Check for proper connection “L378” connector.
2)Disconnect “L378” connector.
3)Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool (B).
4)Check the following point.
•Resistance of “A3” and “A4” circuits: 1 Ω or less
Special Tool
(A): 09932–76010
(B): 09932–75100

Is check result OK?
Replace instrument panel harness.
Replace floor harness.

Passenger air bag deactivation switch circuit check
1)Set ignition “ON”.
2)Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool (B).
3)Check the following point.
•Voltage between each of “A3” and “A4” circuits and ground: 0 V

Is check result OK?
Go to Step 6.
Go to Step 5.

Floor harness circuit check
1)Set ignition “OFF”.
2)Check for proper connection to “L378” connector.
3)Disconnect “L378” connector.
4)Release shorting bar in SDM connector inserting release tool (B).
5)Set ignition “ON”.
6)Check the following point.
•Voltage between each of “A3” and “A4” circuits and ground: 0 V

Is check result OK?
Replace instrument panel harness.
Replace floor harness.

Passenger air bag deactivation switch check
1)Remove passenger air bag deactivation switch. icon 
2)Check for proper connection “G168” connector.
3)Check passenger air bag deactivation switch. icon 
Is passenger air bag deactivation switch in good condition?
Replace SDM and recheck DTC. icon 
Replace passenger air bag deactivation switch. icon 
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
•Reconnect all air bag system components and check that all components are properly mounted.
•Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance if any DTC is detected.
•Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check to check that the trouble has been solved.
