B1090-14: Driver Forward Impact sensor Circuit Shorted to Ground
Driver-side forward impact sensor circuit has been shorted to ground.
•Driver-side and/or passenger-side forward impact sensor

B1090-15: Driver Forward Impact Sensor Circuit Shorted to Power Supply
Driver-side forward impact sensor circuit has been shorted to power supply or opened.
B1090-87: Driver Forward Impact sensor Communication Data Invalid
Driver-side forward impact sensor has communicated with invalid data.
B1091-14: Passenger Forward Impact Sensor Circuit Shorted to Ground
Passenger-side forward impact sensor circuit has been shorted to ground.
B1091-15: Passenger Forward Impact Sensor Circuit Shorted to Power Supply
Passenger-side forward impact sensor circuit has been shorted to power supply or opened.
B1091-87: Passenger Forward Impact sensor Communication Data Invalid

Floor harness circuit check
1)Check that ignition is “OFF”.
2)Disconnect “L04” connector. icon 
3)Disconnect “L372” connector.
4)Check the following point.
•Resistance of “A5”, “A6”, “A7” and “A8” circuits: 1 Ω or less

Replace floor harness.

1)Check the following points.
•Resistance between “L04-8” and “L04-7” terminals (DTC B1090-14 / B1090-15 / B1090-87): infinity
•Resistance between “L04-12” and “L04-11” terminals (DTC B1091-14 / B1091-15 / B1091-87): infinity

Replace floor harness.

Floor harness circuit check
1)Check the following points.
•Resistance between each of “A5” and “A6” circuits and ground (DTC B1090-14 / B1090-15 / B1090-87): infinity
•Resistance between each of “A7” and “A8” circuits and ground (DTC B1091-14 / B1091-15 / B1091-87): infinity

Replace floor harness.

1)Set ignition “ON”.
2)Check the following points.
•Voltage between each of “A5” and “A6” circuits and ground (DTC B1090-14 / B1090-15 / B1090-87): 0 V
•Voltage between each of “A7” and “A8” circuits and ground (DTC B1091-14 / B1091-15 / B1091-87): 0 V

Go to Step 6.
Replace floor harness.

Main harness circuit check
1)Set ignition “OFF”.
2)Disconnect “E40” or “E41” connector. icon 
3)Check the following points.
•Resistance of “A1” and “A2” circuits (DTC B1090-14 / B1090-15 / B1090-87): 1 Ω or less
•Resistance of “A3” and “A4” circuits (DTC B1091-14 / B1091-15 / B1091-87): 1 Ω or less

Replace main harness.

1)Check the following points.
•Resistance between “E40-1” and “E40-2” terminals (DTC B1090-14 / B1090-15 / B1090-87): infinity

•Voltage between each of “A3” and “A4” circuits and ground (DTC B1091-14 / B1091-15 / B1091-87): 0 V

Replace main harness.

Forward impact sensor check
1)Check that ignition is “OFF”.
2)Replace forward impact sensor. icon 
3)Set ignition “ON”.
4)Check for DTC. icon 
Is DTC detected?
Replace SDM and recheck DTC. icon 
End.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
•Reconnect all air bag system components and check that all components are properly mounted.
•Clear DTCs, referring to DTC Clearance if any DTC is detected.
•Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check to check that the trouble has been solved.
