Passenger Air Bag (Inflator) Module Removal and Installation

WARNING:
Failure to take proper precautions when performing service on the passenger air bag (inflator) module can result in personal injury or non-activation of the air bag in the event of a collision.
•Never disassemble or repair an air bag (inflator) module. If any abnormal condition is found, replace the module with a new one.
•Carefully read Precautions for Air Bag System Service, Precautions for Handling and Storage of Air Bag System Components and Precautions for Disposal of Air Bag and Seat Belt Pretensioner and follow all of the instructions provided.
NOTICE:
An air bag (inflator) module that has been dropped may not operate correctly.
Never use an air bag (inflator) module that has been dropped. Replace the module with a new one.
NOTE:
Refer to Repair and Inspection Required after Accident before replacing a deployed air bag.
Removal
1)Disable air bag system. icon 
2)Remove instrument panel from vehicle body. icon 
3)Disconnect passenger air bag (inflator) module connector (1) as shown in figure.
a)Release lock button (2).
b)Disconnect passenger air bag (inflator) module connector with lock released.

4)Remove passenger air bag (inflator) module from instrument panel by disassembling instrument panel. icon 
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.
•Fit tabs (1) of passenger air bag (inflator) module (2) to passenger air bag door securely.
•Lock connector for passenger air bag (inflator) module securely.
•Tighten passenger air bag (inflator) module bolts (3) to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Passenger air bag (inflator) module bolt (a): 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 17.0 lbf-ft)
