P0641: Sensor Reference Voltage “A” Circuit / Open
Sensor power supply voltage “A” is out of specified range.

•Fuel pressure sensor and/or its circuit
•EGR-1 valve position sensor and/or its circuit
•EGR-2 valve position sensor and/or its circuit
•Boost pressure sensor and/or its circuit
•APP sensor and/or its circuit
•Inlet throttle valve position sensor and/or its circuit
•CMP sensor and/or its circuit
•A/C refrigerant pressure sensor and/or its circuit
•DPF® differential pressure sensor and/or its circuit
•Turbocharger actuator position sensor and/or its circuit
•ECM
P0651: Sensor Reference Voltage “B” Circuit / Open
Sensor power supply voltage “B” is out of specified range.

P0697: Sensor Reference Voltage “C” Circuit / Open
Sensor power supply voltage “C” is out of specified range.

Go to Step 2.

Sensor power supply circuit, signal circuit and ground circuit check
1)Check power supply circuit, signal circuit and ground circuit of the following sensors.
•A/C refrigerant pressure sensor according to Step 2 – 5 of DTC P0530:D16AA.
•APP sensor (main) according to Step 3 – 6 of Accelerator Pedal Check:D16AA.
•APP sensor (sub) according to Step 3 – 6 of Accelerator Pedal Check:D16AA.
•DPF® differential pressure sensor according to Step 2 – 5 of DPF® Differential Pressure Sensor Check:D16AA.
•Inlet throttle valve position according to Step 4 – 7 of Inlet Throttle Valve Position Sensor Check:D16AA.
•Fuel pressure sensor according to Step 3 – 6 of Fuel Pressure Sensor Circuit Check:D16AA.
•EGR-1 valve position sensor according to Step 4 – 7 of EGR-1 Valve Position Sensor Check:D16AA.
•Boost pressure sensor according to Step 5 – 8 of Boost Pressure Sensor Check:D16AA.
•EGR-2 valve position sensor according to Step 4 – 7 of EGR-2 Valve Position Sensor Check:D16AA.
•CMP sensor according to Step 2 – 5 of DTC P0340:D16AA.
•Turbocharger actuator position sensor according to Step 3 – 6 of Turbocharger Actuator Position Sensor Check:D16AA.
Is check result OK?
Go to Step 3.
Repair or replace defective wire harness.

1)When ignition is “OFF”, disconnect connector from A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
2)Clear DTC. icon 
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTC. icon 
Is DTC P0641, P0651 or P0697 still detected?
Go to Step 4.
Replace A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
•Manual A/C model: icon 
•Automatic A/C model: icon

1)When ignition is “OFF”, disconnect connector from APP sensor.
2)Clear DTC. icon 
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTC. icon 
Is DTC P0641, P0651 or P0697 still detected?
Go to Step 5.
Replace accelerator pedal assembly (incorporating APP sensor). icon

1)When ignition is “OFF”, disconnect connector from DPF® differential pressure sensor.
2)Clear DTC. icon 
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTC. icon 
Is DTC P0641, P0651 or P0697 still detected?
Go to Step 6.
Replace DPF® differential pressure sensor. icon

1)When ignition is “OFF”, disconnect connector from inlet throttle valve.
2)Clear DTC. icon 
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTC. icon 
Is DTC P0641, P0651 or P0697 still detected?
Go to Step 7.
Replace inlet throttle valve. icon

DTC check
1)When ignition is “OFF”, disconnect connector from fuel pressure sensor.
2)Clear DTC. icon 
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTC. icon 
Is DTC P0641, P0651 or P0697 still detected?
Go to Step 8.
Replace fuel pressure sensor. icon

DTC check
1)When ignition is “OFF”, disconnect connector from EGR-1 valve.
2)Clear DTC. icon 
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTC. icon 
Is DTC P0641, P0651 or P0697 still detected?
Go to Step 9.
Replace EGR-1 valve. icon

DTC check
1)When ignition is “OFF”, disconnect connector from boost pressure sensor with IAT sensor-2.
2)Clear DTC. icon 
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTC. icon 
Is DTC P0641, P0651 or P0697 still detected?
Go to Step 10.
Replace boost pressure sensor with IAT sensor-2. icon

1)When ignition is “OFF”, disconnect connector from EGR-2 valve.
2)Clear DTC. icon 
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTC. icon 
Is DTC P0641, P0651 or P0697 still detected?
Go to Step 11.
Replace EGR-2 valve. icon

1)When ignition is “OFF”, disconnect connector from CMP sensor.
2)Clear DTC. icon 
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTC. icon 
Is DTC P0641, P0651 or P0697 still detected?
Go to Step 12.
Replace CMP sensor. icon

1)When ignition is “OFF”, disconnect connector from turbocharger actuator.
2)Clear DTC. icon 
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTC. icon 
Is DTC P0641, P0651 or P0697 still detected?
Replace ECM and recheck DTC. icon 
Replace turbocharger with exhaust manifold. icon
