Inlet Throttle Valve Removal and Installation

Removal

1)Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.

2)Remove engine cover.

3)Remove air cleaner assembly (1).

4)Remove intercooler outlet pipe (2).

5)Disconnect connector (1) from inlet throttle valve (2).

6)Remove inlet throttle valve.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.

•Use new O-ring and gasket.
•Tighten hose clamps to specified torque.

•Tighten inlet throttle valve bolts to specified torque.

Tightening torque

Inlet throttle valve bolt (a): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.5 lbf-ft)

•When replacing new inlet throttle valve, initialize inlet throttle valve parameter in ECM.
