DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

P0671: Cylinder 1 Glow Plug Circuit / Open Any of the following conditions is met.
•Glow plug No.1 circuit is open. (1 D/C detection logic but MIL does not light up)•Glow plug No.1 circuit is shorted to ground. |

•Glow plug control module •ECM |

P0672: Cylinder 2 Glow Plug Circuit / Open Any of the following conditions is met.
•Glow plug No.2 circuit is open. (1 D/C detection logic but MIL does not light up)•Glow plug No.2 circuit is shorted to ground. |

P0673: Cylinder 3 Glow Plug Circuit / Open Any of the following conditions is met.
•Glow plug No.3 circuit is open. (1 D/C detection logic but MIL does not light up)•Glow plug No.3 circuit is shorted to ground. |

P0674: Cylinder 4 Glow Plug Circuit / Open Any of the following conditions is met.
•Glow plug No.4 circuit is open. (1 D/C detection logic but MIL does not light up)•Glow plug No.4 circuit is shorted to ground. |

1)Check “C1”, “C2”, “C3” and “C4” circuits according to Step 7 of Glow Plug Operation Check:D16AA.
Is check result OK?

Go to Step 3.

Repair or replace defective wire harness.

Glow plug check
1)Check all glow plugs.
Is check result OK?

Go to Step 4.
|
Replace glow plugs.

Glow plug control module replacement
1)Replace glow plug control module.
2)Clear DTC.
3)Set ignition “OFF”.
4)Check DTCs.
Is DTC P0671, P0672, P0673 or P0674 still detected?

Replace ECM and recheck DTC.
