Intake Manifold Removal and Installation

Removal

1)Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.

2)Remove air cleaner assembly.

3)Remove electric throttle body assembly from intake manifold.

4)Disconnect the following hoses.

•Air bypass valve control hose No.4 (1)
•EVAP canister purge valve hose (2)
•PCV hose (3)

5)Disconnect the following connectors.

•MAP sensor (4)
•EVAP canister purge valve (5)

6)Disconnect engine harness clamps from intake manifold.

7)Remove intake manifold and its gaskets from cylinder head.

8)Remove MAP sensor if necessary.

9)Remove EVAP canister purge valve if necessary.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.

•Use new gaskets.
•Check that all removed parts are back in place.
