Brake Flexible Hose and Pipe Removal and Installation

NOTICE:
Brake fluid is extremely damaging to painted surfaces. If brake fluid contacts painted surfaces, immediately wipe it off and flush the surfaces with water thoroughly.
Removal
1)Hoist vehicle and remove wheel. icon 
NOTE:
This operation is not necessary when removing pipes connecting to brake master cylinder.
2)Remove dirt and foreign material from fittings at both flexible hose end and pipe end.
3)Drain brake fluid in reservoir. icon 
4)Remove the following parts according to the pipe:
Pipes Model Parts to be removed
•Pipes between master cylinder and ESP® hydraulic unit / control module assembly
•Pipes between ESP® hydraulic unit / control module assembly and front brake flexible hose
•Pipes between ESP® hydraulic unit / control module assembly and joint

HFC-134a model Suction pipe

Left pipe between joint and rear brake flexible hose All models

•Fuel tank

5)Remove brake flexible hose or pipe.
Special Tool
: 09950–78220
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following points.
•Install brake pipe clamps properly. icon 
•Check that steering wheel is in straight-forward position and brake flexible hoses are not twisted or kinked.
•Check that brake flexible hoses is not in contact with any part of suspension, when steering wheel is turned fully right and left.
•Bleed brake system. icon 
•Check that brake system operates properly and there is no fluid leakage.
